Membership is open to any person with an interest in hypertension who is currently working, or has previously worked, in a medical or health related field, and to lay individuals who believe in the goals of Hypertension Canada. Membership is a one-year term.
There are four basic categories of membership in Hypertension Canada:

Individual Membership for professionals who support the goals of Hypertension Canada. Individual members may attend all meetings of Hypertension Canada and members in good standing are entitled to vote at annual meetings of the membership. They are entitled to receive all notices, minutes and materials. The names of new members are added to our mailing list so that each individual can be informed of the activities of Hypertension Canada.
Associate Membership for individuals in training for practice in the field of hypertension (e.g. students, postdoctoral fellows and residents who are receiving training in the field of hypertension). Associate members may attend all meetings of Hypertension Canada, but are not entitled to vote. They are entitled to receive all notices, minutes and materials. The names of new members are added to our mailing list so that each individual can be informed of the activities of Hypertension Canada.
Corporate Membership for Pharmaceutical Industry and other Companies with an interest in hypertension. Corporate members are informed of the activities of Hypertension Canada. In addition, physicians and other employees of the company are encouraged to become individual members of Hypertension Canada so that they may participate directly in its activities, be kept informed of all new developments and vote. From time to time, the Corporate Members of Hypertension Canada are offered participation in specific joint activities.
