Invitation: You are being invited to this research study if you are an adult aged 19 years or older with hypertension, a caregiver for someone with hypertension or a health professional caring for those with hypertension.  

Purpose: We are asking you to share your ideas about what research you think is needed to help improve the treatment and quality of life of people with hypertension. Your responses will be used to identify the top research priorities of people living with hypertension, their care providers and clinicians. The final list will be available for you to see at: http://www.hypertension.ca and will be published and presented to researchers and organizations that fund research.

What does this study involve? We are asking you to complete this short 10-15 minute survey.

How will my taking part in this study be kept confidential?  This online survey is hosted by a web survey company (SurveyMonkey) located in Canada and as such is subject to Canadian laws. This survey or questionnaire does not ask for personal identifiers or any information that may be used to identify you. The web survey company servers do not record incoming IP addresses of the computer that you use to access the survey and no connection is made between your data and your computer’s IP address. If you choose to participate in the survey, you understand that your responses to the survey questions will be stored and accessed in Canada. Participation in this study is voluntary.  If the questionnaire is completed, it will be assumed that consent has been given. The Research Ethics Board at the University of British Columbia approved this research study on September 29, 2015.
