Welcome to Hypertension Canada

Hypertension Canada is a newly integrated volunteer-based, not-for-profit organization representing over 50 years of expertise in the field of hypertension.  The leadership of three organizations is aggressively moving forward to achieve a common vision – a vision that will bring about positive benefits for the millions of people in Canada who, on a daily basis, deal with the dangers and harmful effects of hypertension.

The positive outcomes of joining the resources and expertise of three already strong organizations (Blood Pressure Canada, Canadian Hypertension Society and Canadian Hypertension Education Program) will be ONE authoritative voice on hypertension with more synergistic interactions across all pillars of education, scholarship and research. One of the priorities of our new Board of Directors will be to oversee a broader consultation with our members and stakeholders to develop strong branding and a communications plan that will build on the past accomplishments of all three organizations to guide Hypertension Canada into the future.

Our mission: advancing health by the prevention and control of high blood pressure through research, advocacy, education and knowledge development and translation.
