2012 Hypertension Canada Recognition Awards
The Hypertension Canada George Fodor Award recognizes a distinguished record of substantial contributions by individuals or organizations that have increased prevention and/or improved control of blood pressure in Canada.
The Hypertension Canada Senior Investigator Award is awarded Award is awarded annually in recognition of research in hypertension or blood pressure by a member in good standing of Hypertension Canada. It is awarded for significant contributions to the advancement and extension of knowledge in basic, clinical, health services or population based research specifically relating to hypertension or blood pressure.
The Hypertension Canada New Investigator Award is awarded annually in recognition of excellence in the field of hypertension or blood pressure research by a new investigator. It is awarded for significant contributions to the advancement and extension of knowledge in basic, clinical, health services or population based research specifically relating to hypertension or blood pressure.
The Distinguished Service Award recognizes individuals for long‐standing distinguished record of service to the organization.
The Hypertension Canada “Certificate of Excellence” is presented to these worthy individuals or organizations in recognition of their outstanding efforts and contributions in Canada through increased public awareness, prevention or control of hypertension.
Hypertension Canada is pleased to offer the Hypertension Canada ISH 2012 Young Investigator Awards. The Awards have been created to aid young investigators in Canada in attending the 24th Scientific Meeting of the International Society of Hypertension to be held in Sydney, Australia from Sept 30 to Oct 4, 2012.
